Ildar Khalikov holds meeting on development of general purpose aviation at Kurkachi village

On August 12, at the airfield at Kurkachi village in Vysokogorsky region within the framework of an aviation festivity “I Choose the Sky”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov held a meeting on development of general purpose aviation.

Khalikov noted that today the aviation plays an important role in social and economic development of the republic. "Tatarstan as the region with the developed aircraft building is facing very serious tasks voiced by Russian President Vladimir Putin. In particular, it is return to the production of the Tu-160 aircraft,” he said.

Khalikov added that one more serious task being fulfilled by order of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation in Tatarstan is to develop a new unmanned aircraft with a large carrying capacity. The prototype has already made its first flight. This project is very important to us, Khalikov pointed out.

According to him, much attention is also paid to military-patriotic education of  young people, development of aviation, technical and military-applied sports, training of specialized professionals in the republic.

Aide to Russian President Igor Levitin, Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Industry and Trade of the republic Albert Karimov, Aide to Tatarstan President Ravil Zaripov, heads of aviation companies of the republic and other officials took part in the meeting.
