The number of free summer holiday packages for children has increased in Tatarstan

On August 9, at a briefing at Tatarstan Government House, Deputy Minister of Youth Affairs and Sport Rustam Garifullin said that the number of children who spend summer holidays in recreation camps has increased in the republic compared to other Russian regions.

He added that reconstruction of camps is underway by the order of Tatarstan President. More than 41 000 children including those from risk groups and winners of Olympiads and creative contests have spent summer holidays for free and took part in recreation or educational programmes. Besides, 5 000 children have spent their holidays in Krasnodar Region and the Crimea.

It was noted that 1500 inspections have been conducted in summer recreation camps this summer. No emergency situations have been revealed.  

Summing up, Rustam Garifullin thanked teachers and doctors, who helped making children’s holidays comfortable and effective.
