Ildar Khalikov: Increasing minimum level of wages is an important step in raising of living standards of population

On August 8, Prime Minister of Tatarstan Ildar Khalikov took part in signing of an agreement on the minimum wages by the Federation of labour unions, Coordination council of the Association of employers, and Cabinet of Ministers of the republic.  

In accordance with the federal law, the minimum wage of 7,500 rubles was fixed on July 1, 2016.

“Increasing minimum living wages is an important step in raising of living standards of population in conditions when regional economy is facing certain difficulties,” Ildar Khalikov said.

He stressed that attraction of investments, modernization of production, and implementation of investment projects are underway in the republic notwithstanding difficult economic conditions.

According to Khalikov, the average salary of employees working at regional enterprises and organizations made 29,397 rubles in May 2015. Among other regions of Volga Federal District Tatarstan is ranked first in terms of the level of average salary.
