Board of directors of OAO “Tatneftekhiminvest-holding” discusses prospects of interregional petrochemical cluster of Bashkortostan and Tatarstan

On August 3, at a board session of OAO “Tatneftekhiminvest-holding” held by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Director of the Institute of oil and petrochemical refining Elshad Telyashev informed that Tatneft Oil Company is planning to buy Bashneft Oil Company and it was discussed by Bashkortostan leadership.

Transition to import-substituting technologies in petrochemical industry and prospects of interregional petrochemical cluster of Bashkortostan and Tatarstan were discussed at the session.

The speaker called for uniting efforts of petrochemical complexes of two republics in terms of providing raw materials and creation of import-substituting catalysts. Construction of pipeline “Yamal – the Volga region” was also discussed at the session.
