Bolgar Islamic Academy to begin training students next year

On July 26, speaking at a briefing at Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers, Executive Director of the Regional Revival Foundation Tatiana Larionova said that the Bolgar Islamic Academy will begin training students next academic year.

Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov signed the decree on establishing the Bolgar Islamic Academy and reconstruction of the Cathedral of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God on November 4, 2015.

Larionova reported that the construction of the academy and six campuses to accomodate students is now underway. 

She continued that the fundraising to build the Bolgar Islamic Academy is also underway. According to Larionova, all the funds raised by the Revival Foundation are distributed between the academy and the Cathedral of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God equally.  Benefactors have allocated 90.7 million roubles for the cathedral and the same amount was collected for the construction of the academy.
