Rustam Minnikhanov holds meeting on infrastructure projects to support science and innovations in the innovative-production center “Innokam”

On July 17, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov held a meeting on infrastructure projects to support science and innovations in the innovative-production center “Innokam”.

Some municipal regions of the republic took part in the meeting. Tatarstan Minister of Economy of the republic Artem Zdunov reported on implementation of projects “Science and innovations” under Innokam project.

Director of Innopolis University Kirill Semenikhin told that Innopolis is a private Russian IT university. About 600 applications from 58 countries, including USA, Germany, Italy, and Canada were received this year. It is planned to increase the number of students up to 5.5 thousand people by 2022.

Issues of cooperation between Innopolis and Skolkovo institute of science and technology were discussed at the meeting. Also, reports on development of transport infrastructure under Innokam project were presented.  

In December 2015 agreements on cooperation were signed between Tatarstan, Innopolis University and Skolkovo.
