Rustam Minnikhanov: Pitrau festival makes us richer

On July 16, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in the regional festival of christened Tatars “Pitrau” in Mamadysh region.

The festival opened with the parade of folk groups.

Rustam Minnikhanov said that christened Tatars carefully preserve their traditions, costumes and national cuisine. He handed over state awards of the Republic of Tatarstan to the most outstanding representatives of christened Tatars.

The programme of the festival included sports competitions, national games, degustation of national cuisine, and fireworks.
