Rustam Minnikhanov at opening of Olympiad of young geologists: It is important to train new personnel, those who will replace current generation of geologists

On July 13 in the afternoon, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in a solemn opening of the 3d Regional open Olympiad of young geologists of Tatarstan in Almetievsk region.

The Olympiad is being held on July 11-17 to evolve and support talented children in their professional identity, and promote best traditions of geology.

34 teams from different regions of Tatarstan, Bakhchisarai region of Crimea and Ust Kamenogorsk (Kazakhstan) are taking part in the contest.

Welcoming participants of the Olympiad, Rustam Minnikhanov said that oil industry is the basis of the republic’s development and it is important to train new personnel, those who will replace current generation of geologists.
