Rustam Minnikhanov attends 4th regional iftar

On June 22, at the Kazan-Arena stadium events within the framework of the 4th regional iftar were held.

Before the ceremony began Mufti of Tatarstan Kamil Hazrat Samigullin had reminded reporters that today’s date is significant for Muslims - the 17th day of Ramadan - the day of the Battle of Badr, and the World Day of halal.

Tatarstan iftar began with the reading of the Quran suras by Imam-mukhtasib of Zelenodolsk region Abdulkhamit hazrat Zinnatullin and Chief Kazy of the republic Jalil hazrat Fazlyev.

Tatarstan Mufti Kamil Samigullin read a prayer, after which those gathered went to have dinner.

Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Tatarstan State Counsellor Mintimer Shaimiev, Tatarstan President’s Chief of Staff Asgat Safarov, Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin, and others attended the event.
