On Russian Language Day Rustam Minnikhanov meets representatives of Russian community

On June 6, on Russian Language Day and birthday of Aleksandr Pushkin, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov met representatives of Russian community at M.Dzhalil opera and ballet theatre.

Opening the meeting, the president reminded about his recent trip to Weimar (Germany) , where the monument to Aleksandr Pushkin was mounted. He thanked representatives of Russian community, member of Russian national and cultural association of the Republic of Tatarstan for their activity and involvement in the preservation and development of the Russian language.

Member of the Tatarstan Public Chamber, Director of upper secondary school No. 93 Irina Aleksandrovskaya told about the trip to the international festival “The Great Russian word”and thanked Rustam Minnikhanov for his help in organization of the trip.

Representatives of Russian community also thanked Minnikhanov for co-financing the 5th congress of Russian society of teachers of Russian language and literature “Dynamics of language and cultural processes in modern Russia” that will be held in Kazan on October 4-8, 2016.
