Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov lays flowers to Alexander Pushkin monument on the poet’s birthday

On June 6, near M.Dzhalil Tatar Academic State Opera and Ballet theatre in Kazan, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, State Counsellor Mintimer Shaimiev and other officials took part in a poetry meeting dedicated to the 217th anniversary of a great Russian poet Alexander Pushkin.

For the first time, Pushkin’s descendant, baron Alexander von Graevenitz took part in the event.

Rustam Minnikhanov and Mintimer Shaimiev laid flowers to the monument of a great Russian poet and took part in the concert dedicated to Russian Language Day.
