Rustam Minnikhanov: “Russian language can be heard all around the world today”

On June 6, at a holiday dedicated to Russian Language Day and the 217th anniversary of a great Russian poet Alexander Pushkin at M.Dzhalil Tatar Academic State Opera and Ballet theatre in Kazan, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that the development of the Russian language is one of national issues.

The president noted that the Russian language had a great impact on the formation of a lot of national languages in Russia, work of outstanding writers and poets, artists and composers. Moreover, he reminded about the state programme aimed at the preservation and development of the Russian language, culture and traditions, which is implemented in the republic.

Minnikhanov focused on the importance of work of members of the public, teachers and cultural workers, and Russian national and cultural association of the Republic of Tatarstan.

Rustam Minnikhanov reminded about the congress of Russian society of teachers of Russian language and literature that will be held in Kazan in October.
