Representatives of Analytik Jena AG express their interest in expanding cooperation with Tatarstan

On June 3, during his working visit to Germany Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov visited Analytik Jena AG. 

The company was established in Jena (Thuringia) in 1990 and has became one of the first companies in the field of high technology in the open market after the end of the socialist system in Germany.

Having been in the market for more than 25 years the Analytik Jena AG is represented in more than 100 countries worldwide, with 75 per cent of export sales. The company employs more than 1,100 people.

The company portfolio includes project work (design and equipment for clinics), analytical and research work in the area of biology, medicine, robotics, biotechnology.

Since 2006, the company has had its representative office in Moscow. The products are certified for the Russian market.

The company management has expressed their interest in expanding cooperation with Tatarstan in terms of joint research, implementation of joint projects in medicine and education. In particular, it was suggested opening a center of scientific research in Kazan.

In his turn Minnikhanov welcomed the proposal for closer cooperation. “I know about your interaction Tatarstan Ministry of Health Care. Unfortunately, the exchange value of rouble makes us be more prudent in evaluation of all projects. I am sure that we will find common ground in terms of research. It is important to determine the form of our cooperation, taking in account current challenges we are facing today,” Minnikhanov said. He suggested studying and evaluating the possibility of implementing joint projects in Kazan in more detail.

Minnikhanov also expressed his interest in cooperation in the field of chemistry and petrochemistry research. “This area is also interesting for us, and has good prospects,” he said. “In today's world high-quality and prompt laboratory testing, obtaining of reliable results are very important,” he went on to say.  

The parties also agreed to hold joint scientific seminar (conference) in Kazan in autumn.
