Carting competitions for the Cup of Tatarstan Government kicks off in Kazan

On July 1, at the Forsage carting center in Kazan, carting competitions for the Cup of Tatarstan Government for children and teenagers in two classes of cars started. 

"For 11 years the situation has changed dramatically:  there are more people who go in for this wonderful sport, considerably more sites and conditions for carting. There are more participants as well. In recent years almost 200 people have taken part in the competitions," Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov addressed participants and organizers of the event.

Khalikov stressed that Tatarstan motor sports athletes successfully participate in competitions at various levels, promoting the name of the republic. "There are many motor sports teams in Tatarstan. We are proud of you and victories of the KAMAZ-Master team, which has proved 13 times that Tatarstan athletes are the best in the world in trucks. Teams that participate in rally-crosses and represent many regional clubs prove that our athletes are the best in Europe and worldwide. I believe that here today future champions of the country, Europe and the world are here today,” he said.
