Tatarstan President meets with Harvard Business School graduates

31.05.2016

On May 31, at Tatarstan Government House, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting met with graduates of Harvard Business School.

“It is my second trek to Russia,” Bulat Gainullin born in Tatarstan told Minnikhanov. The young man successfully completed training at one of the planet’s most prestigious universities and owns a company EZ Menu in Boston, the USA. His area of business is information technology for restaurants.

“Graduates of Harvard Business School first came last year, visiting Moscow and Saint-Petersburg,” Gainullin said. This time he convinced his schoolmates that Tatarstan capital is as important and interesting. Before the meeting at Tatarstan Government House the guests had visited IT Park and Innopolis. They said they had been impressed by the support given to innovations.

Answering the question of graduates about what the secret of Tatarstan success is, as its achievements are known far beyond its borders, Minnikhanov said: “Succession. Our first president Mintimer Shaimiev in the period the new Russia was built managed to save manufacturing facilities and, which is equally important, personnel. We keep on developing that success. A clearly defined management system has produced an effect. This is the secret of Tatarstan. We had strong starting positions: oil recovery, petrochemistry, industries, and well-developed agriculture sector. We are not afraid of anything new and we progress.”
