Rustam Minnikhanov meets Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain

On May 26, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov has a meeting with Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain Shaikh Abdulrahman bin Mohammed binRashid Al Khalifa.  

The meeting took place within the framework of the official reception on behalf of Tatarstan President in honor of participants of the Strategic  Vision Group “Russia – the Islamic World”.

Minnikhanov thanked Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain for his visiting Kazan and taking part in the events of the Strategic Vision Group "Russia - the Islamic World."

Minnikhanov noted that Tatarstan attaches great importance to developing cooperation with the Kingdom of Bahrain within the framework of the strengthening of relations between Russia and Bahrain. He also reminded that Russia focuses on serious cooperation with the Islamic world, and Tatarstan as one of Russian regions contributes to strengthening ties with Muslim states.

The meeting also discussed topical issues related to further interaction.

In April this year Minnikhanov paid a working visit to Bahrain, where he had meetings and talks with representatives of the royal family of Bahrain.
