Rustam Minnikhanov meets Deputy Secretary General, Director of United Nations Office in Vienna Yury Fedotov

On May 12, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov met Deputy Secretary General, Director of United Nations Office in Vienna Yury Fedotov, who told about activity of the office and some current international projects.

Rustam Minnikhanov thanked for the opportunity to visit United Nations Office in Vienna and effective cooperation with United Nations Industrial Development Organization.  Today, representatives of the organization in international conferences held in Tatarstan, regional ministries and enterprises cooperate with the organization.

Rustam Minnikhanov mentioned two projects that were implemented in the republic by the Center of international industrial cooperation. One of them was the conversion to ozone-safe technologies at OAO PO Sergo Plant (2011-2015), and assessment and gradation of pollution focus in cross-border basins.

Moreover, Tatarstan Ministry of Ecology and Ministry of Forestry work with the UNIDO Fund on creating erosional-preventive protective forest plantation.
