Rustam Minnikhanov meets President of the Czech Republic Miloš Zeman

On May 10, at their meeting in Pražský hrad  in Prague, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, who arrived on a working trip to the Czech Republic, and the Czech President Miloš Zeman discussed issues of further cooperation and implementation of joint projects .

Rustam Minnikhanov thanked Mr. Miloš Zeman for his interest in Tatarstan as one of dynamically developing Russian regions. He noted that current political and economic situation has an impact on bilateral trade and economic relations.  It is important to support economic cooperation, increase foreign trade turnover, and strengthen relations in the sphere of culture, science, education and tourism, he said.

Minnikhanov thanked leadership of the Czech Republic for opening direct flights between Kazan and Prague on April 28, 2016, and stressed that cooperation on interregional level is important.

Minnikhanov reminded that he visited South Moravian region and took part in Czech-Tatarstan business forum in Brno, met Czech businessmen, Chairman of Czech Senate Milan Štěch and Minister of Industry and Trade Jan Mladek.

Tatarstan President invited Miloš Zeman to Tatarstan during his next visit to Russia.
