Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov: We cannot develop our forest industry and do lumbering without modern forestry equipment

Tatarstan cannot develop its forest industry and do lumbering without modern forestry equipment and specialized machines. The statement was made by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov at a meeting with Jari Alahuhtala, the Head of Branch Komatsu CIS Komatsu Forest, on September 11.

The meeting took place at the RT House of Government. Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov, Tatarstan Industry and Trade Minister Ravil Zaripov, Tatarstan Forestry Minister Nail Magdeyev, Head of the Saby Municipal District Rais Minnikhanov, Aide to the Tatarstan President Iskander Muflikhanov and other officials attended the meeting.

During the meeting, issues of the development of Tatarstan’s forestry branch including a purchase of forestry machines manufactured by Komatsu Forest Russia for the republic were discussed.
