Planting of spring crops completed by 63 per cent in Tatarstan

On May 10, at a briefing at Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers, Minister of Agriculture of the republic Marat Akhmetov informed that planting of spring crops is completed by 63 per cent.

Agricultural workers of Zainsky, Atninsky, Sarmanovsky, Sabinsky, and Alekseevsky regions are efficiently involved in spring field works.

The total cultivated area will make 2.9 mln hectares this year, 1.8 mln hectares of which are spring crops.

According to Akhmetov, the cost of sowing campaign is 17 bln rubles this year. Agricultural enterprises allocated 6.8 bln rubles for the campaign, 170 credits for the sum of 11 bln rubles were obtained.
