Rustam Minnikhanov inspects spring field works in Vysokogorsky region

On May 6, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov made a working trip to Vysokogorsky, Arsky and Baltasinsky regions of the republic to get acquainted with the progress of spring field works.

Upon his arrival to Vysokogorsky region, Minnikhanov made a helicopter flight over the region’s fields.

On the field near the Russkiy Urmat village Tatarstan President had a meeting with heads of farms, investors and heads of rural settlements.

Head of the region Rustam Kalimullin reported on the progress of the sowing campaign. He said that 14,000 of 34,000 hectares (42 per cent) of arable land have been sowed using 69 sowing units, including 10 sowing complexes, six of which are being operated day and night.

According to Kalimullin, the daily performance of the equipment makes 2,411 hectares. He continued that if weather conditions are favorable, the sowing campaign is scheduled to be finished by May 15.

Tatarstan President was accompanied by Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Ildus Gabdrakhmanov.
