Ildar Khalikov takes part in Tatarstan- Sichuan business forum

On May 4, during his working visit to Kazan, the Communist Party Secretary of the Sichuan Province Wang Dongming took part in Tatarstan- Sichuan business forum at Korston hotel.

The Prime Minister of Tatarstan Ildar Khalikov thanked leadership of China and Sichuan Province for attention paid to the development of bilateral cooperation with Tatarstan in the context of rapidly developing Russia-China relations. He noted that the delegations of Tatarstan and Sichuan have met seven times for the last nine months, which shows high level of trust and cooperation between the regions.

Khalikov summarized that holding of Tatarstan- Sichuan business forum in Kazan will facilitate development of mutually beneficial relations.

In his speech, Mr Wang Dongming said that Tatarstan is a big scientific and industrial center of Russia, a region with a strong economic basis, and relations between the republic and Sichuan Province are developing.

Making report at the forum, Minister of Industry and Trade of the republic Albert Karimov informed that the foreign trade turnover between Tatarstan and China made 264,3 mln US dollars in 2015. The most prospective areas of cooperation are mechanical engineering, petrochemistry, energy sector, and light industry.

Chief executive of the Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Taliya Minullina told about investment attractiveness of the republic.
