Ildar Khalikov: Construction of KAZAN EXPO exhibition center is a landmark project for Tatarstan

On April 28, Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov took part in a jury meeting to choose the winner of the open All-Russian Competition to develop the KAZAN EXPO International Exhibition Center's logo and corporate style. 

Khalikov noted that the construction of the KAZAN EXPO Exhibition Center is a very important and landmark project for Tatarstan. He reminded that the center will be the main competition venue during the WorldSkills Competition in Kazan in 2019.

He said that the capital of the republic has been in need of such a facility for a long time. "The existing exhibition center no longer meets modern requirements, and its characteristics significantly lag behind the majority of such facilities in other regions of Russia," he said.

"Within the framework of preparation for the construction, we traveled a lot around the world, got acquainted with the experience of other countries," Khalikov said. According to him, the regional leadership is keeping a close eye on the implementation of this project, which also imposes great responsibility.

Khalikov noted that the KAZAN EXPO's logo and corporate style should be chosen with great care, because it is a question of ideology, brand awareness and ease in promotopm. "In some way we create the “packaging "of the future product. Our goal is not just to build a facility, it should work to attract customers," he said.
