Rustam Minnikhanov meets Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ireland to Russia Adrian McDaid

On April 26, at his meeting with the delegation from Ireland headed by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ireland to Russia Adrian McDaid at the Kazan Kremlin, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov expressed his hope that the current visit would leave good impression on the delegation. Minnikhanov congratulated Adrian McDaid on assignment to the position of the Ambassador.

Rustam Minnikhanov noted that the visit of Tatarstan delegation to Ireland last year showed that notwithstanding political and economic difficulties relations between Russia and Ireland are constructive. The president thanked Irish colleagues for their interest in XVI Russian and XI Kazan venture fairs that will open on April 27.

“We appreciate the opportunity to conduct an open dialogue between enterprises and venture companies, Tatarstan and Irish businessmen,” Rustam Minnikhanov said. He thanked Irish specialists for participation in acceleration programme for innovative companies.

Tatarstan President noted that Ireland is considered to be one of the best countries for conducting business and attraction of foreign investments. Cooperation between Tatarstan and Ireland can be developing in high technologies, innovations, electronics, pharmaceutics, and agriculture.

Minnikhanov briefly told about economic situation in the republic, and major investments projects.

Adrian McDaid said that development of relations with Russia is very important.
