Colt Close Alliance wins race for Tatarstan President’s Prize

The races dedicated to the Day of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Day of the city of Kazan are held at the Kazan Horse-Racing Complex on August 30. Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov attended the event.

The 1,600-meter-long round for the Tatarstan Golden Horseshoe Prize (for colts and mares born in 2007) was the most attended gathering with 14 horses participating and the prize fund of 100,000 roubles.

Close Alliance of Kuban’s Stud Farm No 711, the champion of the Krasnodar Hippodrome, was called a favourite from the very beginning.

It took the colt 2 minutes 35.1 seconds to cover the distance; Close Alliance came followed by Sunshine Lemon and Voleybolist.
