Rustam Minnikhanov meets Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Latvian Republic to Russia Astra Kurme

On April 25, at his meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Latvian Republic to Russia Astra Kurme, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that notwithstanding the political crisis business contacts between Tatarstan and Latvia should be developing.

“We are open for mutually beneficial cooperation and ready for extending our contacts in the context of Russia-Latvia relations,” Rustam Minnikhanov said. He invited Latvian businessmen to Tatarstan noting that the republic can become a starting point for entering the Russian market.

Rustam Minnikhanov briefly described the economic situation in the republic and the existing infrastructure for small and medium-size businesses.

Tatarstan President thanked Ms Astra Kurme for supporting Tatars living in Latvia.

Astra Kurme, in her turn, said that Latvia is willing to develop mutually beneficial relations with Tatarstan.
