As many as 6,051 complaints to improve quality of housing and utilities service filed in the first quarter of 2016 in Tatarstan

On April 23, speaking at a regional meeting at Tatarstan Government House, Minister of Construction, Architecture, and Housing and Utilities Irek Faizullin said that as many as 6,051 citizens’ complaints to improve the quality of housing and utilities service were filed in the first quarter of 2016 in Tatarstan.

The analysis of complaints showed they  were 796 more as compared with the same period last year, with a total of 7,850 issues raised in the complaints.

About 47 per cent of the requests pertained to buildings’ common property maintenance, 27 per cent to paying for housing and utilities service, while 10 per cent to bad quality of housing and utilities service.

As compared with the first quarter of 2015 the number of questions increased.

Faizullin said that no complaints were filed by residents in the Aktanysh, Alkeev, Apastovo, Kaibits, Tiulachi and some other regions.

As for collection of payments for utility services, as of 1 April 2016, its rate made 95.8 per cent, which is 0.2 per cent less than in the same period last year.

The average annual collection rates remained at 98.4 percent, which is 0.3 percent less than in the same period last year.

Faizullin said that a variety of methods to pay for the housing and utilities service electronically are offered for citizens. The list includes terminals, infomats, banks’ online systems, as well as the Tatarstan portal of public  and municipal services, he added.
