Russian Minister of sport Vitaly Mutko: There are 40 ice rinks in Tatarstan, and only 5- 7 in other regions

On April 22, at a session of of the Presidential Council for the development of physical culture and sport, Russian Minister of Sport Vitaly Mutko said that there are 583 ice hockey palaces in Russia. The session was chaired by Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Russian Presidential Envoy in Volga Federal District Mikhail Babich, Aide to Russian President Igor Levitin, Russian Minister of Education and Science Dmitry Livanov, Russian Minister of Sport Vitaly Mutko, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Board chairman of Russian hockey federation Arkady Rotenberg, and Chairman of Russian hockey federation Vladislav Tretyak took part in the session.

Vitaly Mutko informed that there were only 140 ice hockey palaces in Russia ten years ago.
