Russian President Vladimir Putin arrives in Kazan

On April 22, at the Kazan International Airport, Russian Presidential Envoy of the Volga Federal District Mikhail Babich, Aide to Russian President Igor Levitin, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov met Russian President Vladimir Putin, who arrived on a working visit in Kazan.

Within his working trip to the Tatarstan capital, Putin is scheduled to hold a meeting of Physical Culture and Sport Council. The meeting will discuss issues related to the development of national hockey, holding the Ice Hockey World Championship in Moscow in 2016 and preparation of the national team for the 2018 Winter Olympics.  

Later on the same day, Russian President took part an opening ceremony of the European Judo Championship.
