On April 19, speaking at a briefing at Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers Director of Investment and Venture Fund of the republic Ainur Aideldinov and Pulsar Venture Capital Pavel Korolev told in details about the 16th Russian and 11t Kazan Venture Fairs to be held in the capital of the republic on April 27.
According to Aydeldinov, Kazan Venture Fair was a two-component event consisting of a congress, which will host plenary sessions, discussion of topical issues of this industry during the eight round tables, and the second component, an exhibition of innovative companies, presenting their businesses.
"This forum fundamentally differs from all the other innovative and economic forums, as it involves narrow professional venture subjects. Even ten years ago, the word ‘venture’ was associated only with the risk. Today, there is a full understanding of the fact that this market requires even more savings, concentration of certain competences in fundamental and applied research, creation and implementation of products, protection of intellectual property," he went on to say.
The event will be attended by major venture investors, entrepreneurs, Russian and international experts, as well as the President.
The plenary session, the main event of congress block of the fairs, will be devoted to the topic ‘Modern Contours of the Technological Landscape – Russia’s Niche on the Global Markets’, where representatives of government and businesses, investment funds, the scientific community and international experts will discuss the scenario for the coming years.
The highlight of the exhibition is presentations to the companies-exponents. This year, the qualitative representation of innovative companies has a completely different character. At this time, the geography of the companies has significantly expanded, with 378 applications from 37 Russian cities and 15 countries. As much as 50 companies will be selected to present their businesses at Kazan Venture Fair. In total, the fair will be attended by 10,678 people.
