Every third intestinal infection is caused by vegetables and salads

This year due to abnormal heat worsening of epidemiological situation was marked by acute intestinal infections (mainly dysentery and salmonellosis) in Tatarstan. For 7 months this year 8605 cases of acute intestinal infections have been registered in republic. This rate is 16 times more in comparison with last year. High level of sickness was marked in Alekseevsky, Buinsky, Elabuzhsky, Pestrechinsky, Sabinsky and Tetyushsky regions.

Every case of infectious disease is under epidemiological research.

The number of salmonellosis cases increased by 19,5 %, dysentery cases – by 35 % in comparison with the same period of last year. Nizhnekamsk, Aznakaevo, Chistopol regions and Kazan have become the most unfavorable territories by salmonellosis cases.
