CEO of Russian Olympic committee Marat Bariev positively assesses holding of first Youth Olympic Games in Singapore

CEO of Russian Olympic committee Marat Bariev positively assessed organization and holding of first Youth Olympic Games in Singapore (Youth Olympic Games Singapore 2010). This was announced by him during visit to Olympic village of Singapore and conversations with Russian sportsmen and volunteers.

A solemn ceremony of opening first Youth Olympic Games in Singapore was held on August,14 on floating scene in one of prestigious districts of Singapore - Marina Bay.

Delegation from the Republic of Tatarstan headed by the President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in opening ceremony.

By words of Marat Bariev, Singapore authorities and organizers had carried out enormous work.

CEO of Russian Olympic committee noted that Youth Olympic Games in Singapore is a good example for organizing and holding Universiade 2013 in Kazan.

First Youth Olympic Games in Singapore are  held from August, 14-26.
