Rustam Minnikhanov takes part in VI Annual Investment Meeting in Dubai

On April 11, at a plenary session of the 6th Annual Investment Meeting in Dubai, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that Tatarstan is seeking for new opportunities for cooperation with Southeast Asia.

He noted that anti-recessionary measures taken in the republic helped keeping the investments in economy. The priority economic sectors are oil refining, petrochemisry, retail and wholesale trade, and IT. Moreover, opportunities of Islamic banking are being considered in the republic.

Prime Minister of Georgia Giorgi Kvirikashvili, Chairman of DP World (UAE) Sultan Ahmed Suleiman and a representative of the World Bank in the USA Roberto Echandi took part in the plenary session.

The official opening ceremony of AIM-2016 was held afterwards.
