Rustam Minnihanov attends concert of Tatarstan masters of art in Budapest

On April 7, during his working visit to Hungary, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov attended a concert of Tatarstan masters of art in Budapest.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Hungary Vladimir Sergeev, Minister of Human Capacities Zoltán Balog delivered their welcoming speeches at the event.

In his turn Minnikhanov noted that Tatarstan-Hungarian relations in the field of culture are very important. He also reminded that Tatarstan is a multinational republic, where representatives of various peoples have lived together in peace and harmony for centuries.

Minnikhanov expressed his hope that the concert programme will help to get to know the culture of the Tatar people. “We have brought you a piece of our country, our culture,” he said.

Addressing participants of the event Tatarstan President also noted that "this visit will contribute to the development of relations between our two countries - Russia and Hungary", and thanked everyone for having accepted the invitation.

Minnikhanov expressed his gratitude to the Russia’s Embassy in Hungary and the Hungary’s Embassy in Russia for their help in organizing the visit and the concert programme.

A film about Tatarstan, diversity of cultural traditions and peoples living in the republic had been shown before the concert.
