Rustam Minnikhanov takes part in extended session of the European Alliance of Tatars

On April 7, at an extended session of the European Alliance of Tatars in Brno (the South Moravian region), President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov focused on the preservation of traditions, language and culture of Tatar people in the age of globalization.

He stressed that Tatarstan, with an extensive help of Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, World Congress of Tatars, and other organizations responsible for interaction with compatriots maintains contacts with Tatars living abroad and other Russian regions.

Rustam Minnikhanov briefly told about projects implemented in the republic to unite Tatars all over the world and preserve their native language. He thanked all members of Tatar communities for their help.  

The Governor of the South Moravian region Michal Hašek and Consul-general of Russia in Brno Aleksandr Budayev delivered welcome speeches at the session. Representatives of Genramy, Bulgaria, Belgium, Slovakia and Czech Republic came up with proposals, in particular, about the creation of a business club of the European Alliance of Tatars.

Rustam Minnikhanov handed over letters of commendation of Tatarstan President to most active members of the European Alliance of Tatars.
