Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov: Dinamo Kazan is a special team

The ceremony in honour of the Dinamo Kazan field hockey team was held at the Kazan Kremlin on August 3. Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov congratulated the Dinamo Kazan players on becoming Russian champions for the seventh time.

Greeting the players Rustam Minnikhanov said that honouring the best of the best – winners of Russian and international competitions – became a good tradition. “Today it is a big honour for us to greet here Russia’s seven-times champions in filed hockey – the Dinamo Kazan club. The team will soon turn 30 years and on threshold of this anniversary you have won gold once again,” the President emphasized.

“Today I can say that your team is special. We are often criticized for Tatarstan’s teams having mainly invited players. Your team consists of 13 representatives of Kazan and five sportsmen from Zelenodolsk, Tatarstan. This is very good for our young people see they can get to such a superteam too,” Rustam Minnikhanov declared.
