Farid Mukhametshin presented State Awards of the Russian Federation and Republic of Tatarstan

Today, Tatarstan Parliament Speaker Farid Mukhametshin presented state awards to the outstanding workers in various fields of economy, science and social sphere, those who contributed significantly to the development of spiritual, intellectual and economic potential of the country. The solemn ceremony was held in the Kazan Kremlin.

Opening the ceremony, Farid Mukhametshin expressed gratitude to each awardee for their diligent work for the benefit of Tatarstan. Head of the republican parliament reported on the main indicators of social and economic development of the republic, noting that all this was achieved with their help and efforts.

He noted that despite the difficult economic situation – instability of Russian ruble against US dollar, decline in oil prices – Tatarstan continues to implement all social programs. The republic remains a leader among other Russian regions in all major indicators.

Overall 47 Tatarstanians received state awards today. Deputy of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan, vice-chairman of the Committee on economy, investments and business Marat Galeev was awarded the “Order of Merit for the Republic of Tatarstan”. This prominent economist was elected a member of parliament for five convocations in a row. He was one of the authors of a number of economic programs, including the Strategy-2030.

Farid Mukhametshin congratulated all the awardees and wished good health, optimism and all the best.
