Marat Akhmetov: Prices for bread will not be revised till the end of year

At a briefing in RT Cabinet RT Deputy prime minister - Minister of agriculture and foodstuff Marat Akhmetov told about the situation at Tatarstan foodstuff market that can merge in connection with dry weather.

By his words only 1 mln. tons of grain may be gathered this year while within the last years more than 5 mln. tons were gathered in Tatarstan.

Except for grain crops potatoes, sugar beet and corn suffered from abnormal heat. There are problems with feeding animals. That is why Tatarstan is intensively preparing feed in Russian regions - Republic of Mary El, Udmurtia, Kirov oblast, Perm region. Investors from Tatarstan have gone to southern regions in order to purchase fields with sunflower and corn to be used for making feed. Besides, they help local agrarians with picking crops in exchange for straw and grain.

By words of Marat Akhmetov RT President Rustam Minnikhanov made a decision to allocate additional budget funds in the sum of 500 mln. roubles for laying-in of fodder.

Head of RT Ministry of agriculture and foodstuff assured that despite unfavorable weather conditions prices for milk and meat would be reasonable. He also said that 1 mln. tons of grain were left from last year. Moreover, Tatarstan applied to RF intervention fund for delivering 1 mln. tons of grain in RT.

Marat Akhmetov assured that republic will have enough grain for bread-baking sector.

By words of Marat Akhmetov prices for grain and flour began rising. Federal anti-monopoly service is sorting out the state of affairs.
