Ildar Khalikov chairs board meeting of the Generating Company

On March 22, at Tatarstan Government House, Tatarstan Prime Minister Indar Khalikov chaired a regular meeting of the Board of Directors of the Generating Company.

The meeting reviewed the financial results of the company in 2015.

Iin 2015 power generation decreased compared to plans and targets set in 2014 by six percent and amounted to 12.576 billion KWh. Residential heat supply also dropped by eleven per cent and amounted to 10,464 thousand Gcal, due to the warmer weather and the reduction of consumption of industrial enterprises.

In 2015, the company's revenue amounted to 35,047 million rubles, which is 1.5 per cent less than expected and two percent below last year's level. The company's profit also decreased, amounting to 2,962 million roubles as compared to last year’s 3,465 million rubles. The company traditionally makes a profit from sale of electricity on the wholesale market, while sales of heat energy was unprofitable in 2015.

The company has established the work on elimination of overdue receivables. Compared with the beginning of 2015, it has declined by more than 2.5 billion rubles.

Summing up, Khalikov called the company's management to be more active in searching new technical solutions and investments for the largest station of Tatarstan power system, Zainsk state regional power station, increase energy efficiency and make a detailed analysis of the ongoing procurement, since, in his opinion, potential might also be found.
