Rustam Minnikhanov: Public chamber takes an important place in the system of social relations of the Republic of Tatarstan

On March 16, at a plenary session of research and practice conference “Formation of civil society in the Republic of Tatarstan” dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the Public chamber, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that the Public chamber takes an important place in the system of social relations of the republic.

The session was held at the Institute of economics, management and law with the particaiption of Deputy Prime Minister Vasil Shaikhraziev, Chief of Staff of Tatarstan President’s Administration Asgat Safarov, Deputy Chairman of State Council Rimma Ratnikova, and Chairman of Tatarstan Public Chamber Anatoly Fomin.

Before the session, accompanied by rector of the institute Asiya Timiryasova, Rustam Minnikhanov looked around the lecture halls, residential facilities for employees of the institute, swimming pool and museum.

Speaking at the session, Rustam Minnikhanov said that the level of social development depends on a few factors – economic and social situation, the level of culture, relations between different social groups.

The president noted that the public played an important role in the implementation of the programme “The Year of parks and squares” last year, and the new programme “The Year of water conservation areas” will be launched this year.
