First deputy chairman of Russian government Viktor Zubkov: regions should work more intensively on issue of insuring agricultural risks

Session of Presidium of Russian Government will be held on July, 12. Issues for discussion will be problematic situation caused by dry weather in Russian regions, main ways of supporting agricultural enterprises which suffered from draught. This was said today by First deputy chairman of Russian government Viktor Zubkov in Elabuga city.

Viktor Zubkov is staying in Tatarstan with working visit to take part in solemn ceremony of opening VIII All-Russia summer village sport games (Elabuga).

First deputy chairman of Russian government held meeting on the territory of special economic zone “Alabuga” regarding the situation on fields of Republic Tatarstan. In the meeting took part RT President Rustam Minnikhanov, RT Minister of agriculture and foodstuff Marat Akhmetov, Head of executive committee of Elabuga municipal region Gennady Emelianov, heads of agricultural enterprises.

Viktor Zubkov informed that today uneasy situation is being observed in 14 Russian regions in connection with dry weather. They are Tatarstan, Bashkortostan, Orenburg, Samara, Saratov and other regions. By words of Viktor Zubkov the special staff under leadership of Russian Minister of agriculture has been already created.

Viktor Zubkov visited fields of agricultural firm “Timerkhan” (Tukaevsky municipal region).

First deputy chairman of Russian government put emphasis on issue of insuring agricultural risks. He thinks that regions should work more intensively in this area. By and large, 9 mln. hectares of crops were lost throughout Russia.
