Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov meets Governor of Volgograd region Andrey Bocharov

On March 14, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with the Governor of the Volgograd region Andrey Bocharov at the Kazan Kremlin. The delegation of the Volgograd region arrived in Kazan on March 13 to take part in XVI International symposium “Energy and resource efficiency and energy saving” and XVII International specialized exhibition “Energy. Resource saving-2016” that will be held at Kazanskaya Yarmarka exhibition center on March 15. 

Today, the guests visited OOO “Ledel” company, one of the leading developers and manufacturers of LED lamps in Russia and Eastern Europe, engineering center ZAO “KAPO-Composit”, and IT-park.

Rustam Minnikhanov noted that Tatarstan is intensively developing cooperation with the Volgograd region, and the trade turnover between the two regions has reached 4.5 bln rubles. Tatarstan supplies the Volgograd region with trucks, tyres, diesel fuel, refrigerating equipment, food and medicine.

The Volgograd region supplies Tatarstan with rolled iron, steel pipes, agricultural, chemical and engineering products.

Rustam Minnikhanov suggested that products of Tatarstan automotive and chemical industries, fertilizer market, pharmaceuticals, and cooperation in the sphere of high medical technologies might be interesting for the Volgograd region. Moreover, the exchange of experience in development of production sites, investment projects, support of businesses, and agriculture is important. Rustam Minnikhanov thanked Andrey Bocharov for his attention to Tatars living in the region. He also added that the republic can share its experience in holding big international sports events on the threshold of the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.

Rustam Minnikhanov thanked Andrey Bocharov for his visit to Kazan and the interest in strengthening business relations between the regions.
