Farid Mukhametshin: a party government has been formed in Tatarstan

Secretary of political council of Tatarstan regional branch of the party “United Russia”, Chairman of RT State Council Farid Mukhametshin announced at session of political council that a party government has been formed in Tatarstan. Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov took part in the session.

Farid Mukhametshin noted that such session is normally held 100 days before municipal elections. 7954 deputies are to be elected in municipal formations of Tatarstan.

Farid Mukhametshin informed that “United Russia” has already conducted preliminary elections. Its results have been approved in Moscow by leadership of the party.

RT Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov reported on RT Cabinet work. He underlined the necessity to inform population about work of the government on the threshold of elections.

Ildar Khalikov said that the key goal of government work is improvement of life quality of Tatarstan citizens. Prime Minister emphasized that it is important to support large enterprises which guarantee Tatarstan wellbeing. Besides, the task is set to develop innovative technologies - at the expense of existing enterprises and by creating new business.

Ildar Khalikov said that the Government pays much attention to urgent problems of population such as growth of tariffs for housing and communal services. By words of Prime Minister, Tatarstan leadership and RT President personally carry much work in Moscow so that republic gets gas next year by maximum reasonable prices.

Prime minister also touched upon the problem of emergency situation in Tatarstan agriculture caused by drought.

Ildar Khalikov told members of political council of “United Russia” that Tatarstan government is currently intensively working through the budget for 2011.

Farid Mukhametshin highly estimated the work of new RT Cabinet.

Chairman of State Council and Prime Minister handed letters of commendation to former heads of municipal districts who had retired.
