Tatarstan President holds business meetings in Tokyo

On February 29, during his working visit to Tokyo, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov held a series of business meetings.

Rustam Minnikhanov arrived in Japan with the Russian delegation headed by the Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov to take part in the business mission “Trade-industrial dialogue: Russia-Japan”. 

The first meeting was with Head of AO “Stankoprom” Dmitry Kosov. Being a part of Rostec Corporation, the company is the head organization in the sphere of machine tool building and a system integrator of Russian machine tool industry.

Rustam Minnikhanov and Dmitry Kosov discussed prospective areas of cooperation in the sphere of reequipment of Tatarstan enterprises.

At his meeting with President of Toyo Engineering Corporation Kiyoshi Nakao and Mitsui Managing Director Ikuo Kasama, Rustam Minnikhanov discussed existing projects implemented in Tatarstan and areas of further cooperation.

Mitsui is one of the leading financial and industrial groups in Japan. The company deals with development of oil-gas fields, modernization of petrochemical enterprises, export and import of steel products and investment activity. Tatarstan and Mitsui have implemented a number of joint projects with Kazanorgsintez, Nizhnekamskneftekhim, and TAIF.

Tatarstan President and Advisor to Director General of Fujitsu Nobuhiko Sasaki discussed development of partnership relations in the sphere of high technologies, including the projects at Innopolis city (Tatarstan). The Global Delivery Center opened with the participation of the company in Kazan a few years ago.
