Rustam Minnikhanov: The Republic of Tatarstan is interested in expanding cooperation with Japanese partners

On February 29, at a session “Russia-Japan cooperation in the sphere of modernization of infrastructure” during the business mission “Trade-industrial dialogue: Russia-Japan” in Tokyo, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that Tatarstan is interested in expanding cooperation with Japanese partners.

The main topic discussed at the session was modernization of transport and logistics infrastructure and cooperation in recycling of solid waste.

Rustam Minnikhanov thanked Russian and Japanese leadership for supporting joint projects. “Relations between our countries are constructive, which helps strengthening business contacts on the regional level,” Rustam Minnikhanov said.

He continued that Tatarstan has obtained wide experience in cooperation with Japanese companies, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Sojitz, Mitsui, Toyo engineering, Yokogawa Electric Corporation, Fujitsu, DNAFORM, and other companies. The cooperation is maintained in petrochemical industry, mechanical engineering, automotive industry, ICT, health care, agriculture, science and education.
