RT government and ANO “Transport directorate of Olympic Games” signed Protocol of intentions

Protocol of intentions to conclude an agreement between RT Government and autonomous non-commercial organization “Transport directorate of Olympic Games” on interaction and cooperation in the period of preparation and holding of 27th World summer universiade 2013 in Kazan was signed today in House of RT government.

RT Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov and First deputy director general of ANO “Transport directorate of Olympic Games” Sergey Bystrov put their signatures in the document.

RT Minister of transport and road facilities Lenar Safin, RT deputy minister of construction, architecture, housing and communal services - Director general of GUP “Tatinvestgrazhdanproekt” Irek Faizullin, Deputy minister of youth affairs, sport and tourism Khalil Shaikhutdinov and others also attended the meeting.

The parties discussed issues of cooperation and development of transport infrastructure of Kazan for hteperiod of holding Universiade 2013. In particular, Ildar Khalikov reminded during the visit to Kazan in May, 5, 2010 Chairman of RF government Vladimir Putin announced that Universiade 2013 would become a “rehearsal” before holding Olympic games in Sochi in 2014.

Sergey Bystrov confirmed intentions to use the experience gained during preparation and holding Universiade 2013 at the site of Olympic games in Sochi. He also informed that a branch of ANO “Transport directorate of Olympic Games” would be opened in Kazan.
