Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov holds a meeting of the republican commission on development and implementation of the comprehensive state program of development of the Tatarstan educational system in 2010-2015

Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov conducted the meeting of the republican commission on development and implementation of the comprehensive state program of development of the Tatarstan educational system in 2010-2015 on June 22.

The meeting was held at the Kazan Kremlin.

Tatarstan Stat Councillor Mintimer Shaimiev, Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov, Russian Deputy Education and Science Minister Isaak Kalina and other officials took part in the work of the commission.

Rustam Minnikhanov reminded that the concept of the development of the educational system had been approved more than a year ago. Then, in May 2009, the republican commission was set up to develop the project.

Since then, the international experience in reshaping the educational systems was studied involving consultants of the Higher School of Economics (Moscow), the World Bank for Reconstruction and Development. The work resulted in the project of the Strategy of educational development in the Republic of Tatarstan in 2010-2015.

The project of the Strategy was presented by Albert Gilmutdinov, the Tatarstan Minister of Education and Science.
