The Republic of Tatarstan and Transneft sign Agreement on mutual cooperation

On February 9, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and President, Board Chairman of and Oil Transporting Joint-Stock Company Transneft Nikolay Tokarev signed Agreement on mutual cooperation at the Kazan Kremlin.

Rustam Minnikhanov thanked Nikolay Tokarev for his visit to the republic, support in solving strategic challenges, and participation in social projects.

Transneft is a strategic partner of Tatarstan, as oil production and processing is the main industry in the republic. Regional oil companies supply products for the sum of 20 bln rubles to Transneft per year.

Transneft-Prikamie, a major budget revenue generating enterprise of the republic, takes part in regional social projects.

Minnikhanov noted that the signed agreement aims at the implemenattion of joint plans on developing long-term cooperation between Tatarstan and one of the leading Russian companies.  

Nikolay Tokarev, in his turn, said that the agreement on social and economic cooperation will help solving a lot of issues in the context of production activity, projects and charity.
