Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov visits the obstetric division of the Republican Clinical hospital No 3 in Kazan

Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov visited the obstetric division of the Republican Clinical Hospital No 3 located in 51 Bolshaya Krasnaya Street in Kazan. The building opened after capital repairs.

The obstetric division of the Republican Clinical Hospital No 3 is one the most popular maternity hospitals in Kazan.

The capital repairs in the building took a year.

The obstetrical division provides services during pregnancy and after delivery to women from Kazan and 11 municipal districts of the republic. More than 1000 children are born in the clinic annually.

During the visit to the clinic, Tatarstan Health Minister Airat Farrakhov reported to the head of the republic that Tatarstan is tenth among the Russian regions in terms of the mortality rate.

According to the 2009 data, in terms of infant morbidity of 5.9 per a thousand people Tatarstan is sixth in the country.
