President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov holds meeting with heads of municipal regions of Naberezhnye Chelny zone.

RT President Rustam Minnikhanov held a meeting with heads of municipal regions of Naberezhnye Chelny zone on the issues of developing agro-industrial complex and plans for harvesting.

In the meeting took part RT vice-premier – minister of agriculture and foodstuff Marat Akhmetov, representatives of administrations of Aktanysh, Menzelinsk, Zainsk, Tukai, Muslumovo, Nizhnekamsk and other municipal regions, heads of agricultural companies.

The meeting was held in fields of Nizhnekamsk region.

Agronomists, scientists, representatives of company - seller of farming machines spoke to heads of agricultural companies.

Opening the meeting RT President expressed concern about state of winter crops in republic and providing feedstuff for the next season. By his words, today, it is necessary to weight out critical feedstuff balance considering minimum amount of crops. “We have to mobilize all resources; the situation is very complicated. In 2009 we had summer drought, which badly influenced southeast of republic”, - Rustam Minnikhanov said.

RT President reminded that according to the latest data 460 000 hectares of winter crops had been lost. Today agricultural enterprises are provided with fuel and fertilizers, RT government supported agriculture. The obligations on financial and resource support of villagers have been completely fulfilled. Additionally 1 bln. roubles were allocated.

Marat Akhmetov asked heads of municipal regions to analyze the situation in their territories.

Director general of “Tatplodovoshprom” Rail Ziatdinov spoke at the meeting. He assured that in 2010 the enterprise will provide population with vegetables in full. Head of “Tatplodovoshprom” is worried about oil system of watering in fields that has been used for 30 years. The system is very expensive in using, Rail Ziatdinov said. He asked RT President for 50 % subsidy for power supply.
